Bought this for domestic fault-finding work and it has been excellent. The compact jaw fits into tighter consumer units far more easily than my old clamp on digital multimeter, and the DC current function is genuinely useful.
Arrived quickly and was ready to use straight away. As a maintenance engineer I wanted a small clamp meter for panel work, and the True RMS readings have been consistent on motors and control circuits.
I use it on battery and low-voltage DC systems in a workshop setting. For a 100A clamp meter this is impressively compact, and the continuity and capacitance functions mean I carry one less meter.
Very handy mini clamp meter and much easier to use one-handed than a larger unit. My only minor criticism is that the screen is a bit smaller than premium models, but the readings are clear enough in normal lighting.
I was considering a pricier Fluke, but for the money this UNI-T is the sweet spot. It works well as a dc current clamp meter for campervan electrics and feels far less bulky than some rival meters from Klein Tools.
Used it for automotive parasitic draw checks and general workshop diagnostics. The zeroing for DC current is helpful and the clamp meter and multimeter functions save time, though I would have liked a carry pouch included.
Brilliant value for money. I needed a pocket clamp meter for solar hobby work and household troubleshooting, and this has handled AC current, DC current and voltage checks without any fuss.
